Berepper Barns is situated on the Cornish cliff path and the edge of the Penrose Estate, in Gunwalloe village. The cottages are perfectly positioned for access to miles of stunning walks and beautiful, quiet beaches.

There are 4 lovely beaches within walking distance of the cottages which include:

Fishing Cove and Loe Bar, which are connected at low tide by a mile long sandy beach, both are dog friendly all year round. The vast sandy beach is a quiet place to relax, have a BBQ or watch the sun go down. (Due to strong currents it is not advised to swim on these beaches.)

Church Cove is approximately one mile from Berepper Barns. It is a lovely beach, a stream runs through its middle to the sea. It is suitable for families and is life-guarded in the summer holidays There is a lovely cafe run by the National Trust  and there is a National Trust car park if you don't want to walk. Church Cove has the only church on a beach in Cornwall, the Church of the Storms.

Dollar Cove is just before Church Cove and is a year round dog friendly beach. When the tide is out it is excellent for surfing, crabbing, and body boarding. It is mostly stony but sand comes and goes with the weather. You will quite often find some spectacular stone creations and towers on this beach.

The Halzephron Inn is situated a short walk from Berepper Barns. The award winning, dog-friendly pub serves excellent homemade food, has a friendly atmosphere and during the winter months the wood burner is always lit. A full English breakfast can be pre-booked if you wish.

The village of Porthleven and market town of Helston are approximately a one and half hour walk or 15 minute drive from the cottages. The fishing village of Porthleven has many lovely shops, restaurants and cafes and is well worth a visit. Helston is your nearest town for all your essentials, it also has a variety of shops, cafes, pubs and supermarkets.

Based on the Lizard Peninsular Berepper Barns are perfectly positioned for a visit to the famous Kynance Cove, and Cadgwith Cove where they have local fishermen singing on a Friday evening. Lizard Point, the most southerly point in England, is a must visit site. It's an eight mile walk from Berepper Barns, or an easy drive. The coast path on the Lizard is spectacular and well worth a visit.

Mullion Golf Club, based above Church Cove, epitomises the best of playing golf in Cornwall. The far reaching views from the Towans above the cliffs are magnificent. Penzance and Mousehole can be seen across the ever changing seas of Mounts Bay and the familiar sight of St Michael’s Mount is viewed from a different angle from the cliff top tees. The fine scenery and views continue down to the links holes running towards the beach and Gunwalloe church.
